''AMERICAN MADE!''
We would like to invite you to submit your artwork for our new artist showcase happening at "THE FRONT" (1022A 4th Ave. South, Nashville, TN) on Friday, January the 13th, 2012 at 7 p.m.
As some you may or may not know, we have been working non-stop on our new gallery and studio ''THE FRONT" and it would be our honor for you to join us in ringing in the new year at our brand spankin' new venue!
For those of you who have shown with us in the past...YOU KNOW THE DEAL...But for those of you who are new to our growing underground movement, let me be the first to say that we will never censor, judge or take commission for work that you submit in our shows...The take is 100% yours!!
AMERICAN MADE IS NOT A THEMED SHOW but we do encourage everyone involed to get creative and show us your take on ''the present state of our fair country." All opinions, ideas and beliefs are welcome and we expect everyone involved to show respect to all subject matter that arises. And I repeat, this is NOT a meeting of politics, so please leave that shit at the door. If you cannot hold yourself in a respectable manner you WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE!!
Our submission process (as always) is very simple:
All participating artists WILL NOT PAY A COVER CHARGE but will be asked to pay $10 per piece at a three piece minimum with a maximum of 10 pieces entered. Any pieces that you would like to submit that exceed 36x36 in dimension will cost $15 per piece, while any pieces that exceed 72x72 in dimension will cost $30 per piece.
PLEASE PRESENT TO US ANY QUESTIONS THAT YOU MAY HAVE ON THIS PROCESS...WE WILL BE HAPPY TO ANSWER ANY CONCERNS THAT YOU MAY HAVE...As an added bonus for artists we would like to offer you a 4th free entry piece (under 36x36) if you post our "American Made" flyer as your Facebook profile picture for four weeks!
Deadline for submissions will be January 6th, and all submissions will be processed on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis! please send in samples of your work for consideration and You can submit your payments at the following link: www.thefrontnashville.com/#!for-artists
ALL CASH SUBMISSIONS MUST BE PAID IN PERSON BEFORE THE JANUARY 6TH DEADLINE!
There will be a cover charge for this event of $5 per person (artists excluded) and THIS IS NOT A BYOB EVENT, drinks and food will be served along with LIVE ART, VIDEO ART AND MUSIC for your entertainment...This is an 18+ event and all IDs will be checked at the door...DOORS OPEN AT 7PM SHARP!!
Lastly, we are also excited to announce that this event will be a part of a documentary on the underground Nashville art scene...SO BE PREPARED TO BE ON CAMERA!!!
