Call to Artists: "In the Nude" show at The Building. Deadline feb 1, 2012

CALL TO ARTISTS

The Building is excited to present our second "In the Nude" show.  The last show was such an amazing night.  We had over 20 artists from around the area submit their pieces of the nude figure and over 150 viewers come to cast their votes for their favorite pieces.  We were a Critic's Pick in the Nashville Scene and received rave reviews from many websites and publications in the area.  This year's show promised to be even bigger.

We are putting out an immediate call to artists.  We want artists from all different kinds - full-time, part-time, hobbyists, whatever - to submit their pieces in all different mediums.  The only criteria is that each piece must be a representation/interpretation of the nude figure.  We are going to hammer this promotion really hard in order to make this event the best that it can be for everyone involved.  The submission fee for this event is $30 and you can submit up to three pieces.  The Building will take a 30% commission on any pieces sold during the event.  We will have a LIVE nude model, and featured artists creating LIVE art.

Submission Deadline - February 1st
Drop-Off Dates - February 13-16 1pm-7pm (very flexible if that doesn't work)

We will have awards for Best In Show, Runner-Up and 2nd Runner-Up as well as a show-raffle for all the artists involved.  From The Building family, we look forward to working with you and making this show one that everyone will remember.

Yours in Art,

Submission Note - When you e-mail your submission to the above e-mail, you do not have to have your nude pieces already created.  You can send over examples or a link to your work and will be evaluated based on your current works and allowed time to create your pieces for the show.  If you already have the pieces you would like to submit, just include that information in the e-mail.

Submission Criteria - Name, e-mail, up to three images of your work and/or link to your work, phone number
