Tennessee Arts Commission FY2010 Grants


Fiscal Year 2010 Grant Guidelines and applications are now available on the Tennessee Arts Commission's (TAC) web site, www.arts.state.tn.us.


TAC grants are available through the Commission's eGrant system, and include several categories.


Those categories include Major Cultural Institutions; Arts Education (Artist-in-Residence, Community Learning and Teacher Training); Arts Access; Arts Project Support and Rural Arts Project Support; and General Operating Support.


Individual Artist Fellowships are available in Dance (Performance), Music (Vocal Performance), Theater (Acting), Craft, Media (Film, Video and Photography), Visual Art (Two-dimensional work) and Literary Arts (Fiction/Creative Non-fiction and Poetry).

GRANTS

Tennessee Arts Commission Cultural Tourism Grants Deadline: March 25
These grants are available to any nonprofit organization or government entity chartered in the state of Tennessee. All projects must have an arts focus and at least one primary partner (or the applicant) must be an arts-focused entity. All potential applicants must discuss their projects with Leigh Patton, director of community arts development, by March 18, prior to submitting an application. For more information, click here.
Tennessee Arts Commission Grants
Grant categories include Major Cultural Institutions (MCI), General Operating Support (GOS), Rural Arts Project Support (RAPS), Arts Project Support (APS), Arts Access (AA) and Arts Education (Teacher Training, Artist in Residency and Community Learning). The grants will be available for fiscal year 2009, which begins July 1, 2008 and ends June 30, 2009. Applications and guidelines can be found online at www.arts.state.tn.us.
National Endowment for the Arts "Grants for Arts Projects"

NASHVILLE — - The Tennessee Arts Commission has announced that application
and guidelines for several Fiscal Year 2009 (July 1, 2008 — June 30, 2009)
grant categories, will be available online beginning Nov. 1.

Applications will be accepted through the Commission's eGRANT system. Grant categories
will include: Major Cultural Institutions (MCI), General Operating Support
(GOS), Rural Arts Project Support (RAPS), Arts Project Support (APS), Arts
Access (AA), and Arts Education (Teacher Training, Artist in Residency, and
Community Learning).

Also, The Tennessee Arts Commission has announced that applicants
may apply for Fiscal Year 2009 (July 1, 2008 — June 30, 2009) Individual
Artist Fellowships beginning Nov. 1.

The fellowships will be available in: Visual Arts (three-dimensional), Craft, and Media
(film and video); Music (instrumental performance and composition), Dance (performance
and choreography), and Theater (acting); Literary Arts (fiction/creative nonfiction,
and poetry). The award provides fellowships to outstanding professional artists who live
and work in Tennessee. The Commission anticipates that each fellowship in FY 2009 will be
$5,000. In the coming year, the Commission may award up to two fellowships in each category.
Deadline for application is: Monday, Jan. 28, 2008.
