Estel Gallery Needs Kings...Now

Call for entries for September 2011 show: Elvis and Other Kings
A few select artists will be chosen to exhibit with Gary Monroe's Elvis works as part of this exhibition. Entry is open to all artists 18 and over working in any media except video. Entries must include the subject of a king in some manner, this can be taken literally as in royalty or expanded to subjects such as: playing cards, B.B. King, Martin Luther King, Jr., chess pieces, Christ the King, etc. If you can make a persuasive case for why the image depicts a king, it will be considered.

APPLICATION DEADLINE
Saturday, Aug. 13, 2011

EASY ENTRY
Each application must include the following:

Up to 3 digital images
Artist's statement, if necessary to prove why the images are justified as a king.
Subject line in application email must read: " King Me"
No application fee• In your email include the following information for each image:

Title
Date
Medium
Dimensions
Retail Price


DETAILS

Notification of inclusion by Aug. 16, 2011
Show Runs: Sept. 3-24
Opening reception: Sept. 3, 2011 6pm - 9pm
Work must arrive at the gallery no later than Monday: Aug. 29, 2011
All works must be for sale.
Work will be returned to the artist by Oct. 17, 2011.
Gallery commission percentage is 50%
Artist is responsible for delivery and return shipping expenses. The Gallery will not submit claims for any damage caused if the artist unwisely to ship via UPS. In the unlikely event there is a claim against FedEx or the US Post office, the gallery will assist with claims.
