Volunteer for The Birth of Impressionism:
Masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay!

The Frist Center is seeking the support of volunteers from across the Nashville community to support our upcoming exhibition, The Birth of Impressionism: Masterpieces from the Musée d'Orsay, opening October 15. This extraordinary exhibition includes 100 masterpieces of mid-to-late 19th-century French painting from the Musée d’Orsay, a museum in Paris dedicated to the art of the early modern period. The exhibition provides a broad context for understanding the roots of Modernism by combining seminal works by innovators such as Courbet, Manet, Cézanne, Monet, and Renoir; Salon painters such as Bouguereau; and artists who moved easily between convention and innovation such as Degas, Fantin-Latour, and Whistler.
If you have ever considered volunteering at the Frist, now is the time. Perks include:
  • The opportunity to earn a year's membership through service
  • Short-term volunteer opportunities
  • Special benefits just for volunteers
It is easy to get involved! Visit the Frist Center’s volunteer webpage for details and an application.
Hurry, the last training of the year is October 2, 2010!
