Dr. Stephen Benning, assistant professor of psychology at Vanderbilt University, will present a gallery talk in the Paint Made Flesh exhibition titled, “Through the eyes of a psychopath: How individual differences impact perception of paintings.” Based on research involving the ways different individuals process similar emotional material, this talk will focus on the way persons possessing high levels of fearless dominance and impulsive antisociality might perceive paintings in the exhibition.
