Call for artists: Call for Artists: Urban Housing Solutions "Art Works for Change": art due Nov 20

We invite artists to submit work for our 2nd annual Art Works for Change student art competition and silent auction.

Art Works for Change is the culmination of a local student art competition, where prizes are awarded, students are honored, and their work is auctioned to benefit the residents of Urban Housing Solutions.
Alongside student artwork, established community artists submit their work for auction. This not only serves to make the event a greater success, but also brings together a community of artists old and young, established and new, for a good cause.

Urban Housing Solutions is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, providing affordable housing and comprehensive services in Nashville for over 1,000 individuals per year. We serve not only low-income families, but also disabled Nashvillians such as those struggling with mental illness, AIDS/HIV, domestic violence survival, recovery from drugs/alcohol, and chronic homelessness.

We expect 250-300 guests at this year's event including local philanthropists, artists, parents, art buyers, and business professionals. Artists who donate their work will have the chance to exhibit their pieces and biographical information to these guests while helping move Nashville from poverty to possibility!

All donations are tax deductible, and we can arrange for a pick-up.
All proceeds go directly to resident programming.

Thank you very much for your consideration. Please feel free to contact me at any time. We hope to have all art in hand by November 20th.

Please contact georgia.copeland@gmail.com if you are interested.
