The Artist's Magazine has issued a call for entries for its 25th Annual Art Competition. The competition is open to visual artists anywhere in the world. More than $25,000 in cash prizes will be awarded. Artists can compete and win in 5 categories: Abstract/Experimental, Animal/Wildlife, Landscape/Interior, Portrait/Figure, and Still Life. Nashville Arts Magazine Cover Design Competition Deadline: January 4

Nashville Arts Magazine invites the arts community to participate in its first annual Cover Design Competition for the upcoming February 2008 issue. The competition is open to all artists. The cover's theme should be indicative of a new cultural, artistic and creative Nashville. The theme could also suggest that Nashville is moving beyond its recent past, is a city reborn with an emphasis on education, culture and the arts, is a city with tolerance, and is a city with new and fresh ideas. For more information or to submit artwork, send email to covercontest@nashvilleartsmagazine.com. Cover size is 8.5"x11", and the masthead will cover the top of the artwork. Files must be high resolution and in jpeg, tiff or eps format.
