Tennessee Arts Commission Memorial Sculpture Deadline: July 18
Nashville, TN
The Tennessee Arts Commission requests qualifications from professional artists for the creation of a sculpture to commemorate the first African Americans who served in the Tennessee General Assembly. This memorial will take form in a four-foot bronze portrait bust bearing the likeness of Representative Sampson W. Keeble of Nashville. The final piece will be displayed in a half-cylindrical wall niche on the second floor of the Capitol Building in Nashville. This project is open to established visual artists living in the United States with a minimum of two years professional experience. Minorities are strongly encouraged to apply for this opportunity.
