Call for artists - NAA Nashville Artists Studio Tour - Sept 13, 2008: Deadline: Aug 15, 2008

Dear Artists,

Do you have a studio in Davidson County? Are you available to work in your studio on Saturday, September 13th, 2008? If so, we want to get you registered for the NAA Nashville Artists Studio Tour!

Tour Details:
NAA presents "A Nashville Artists Studio Tour"
Saturday, September 13, 2008, 10am – 4pm Studio locations throughout Davidson County (map will be provided to tour goers)
Tickets: $10 in advance, $12 day of event

Studio Tour Preview Exhibition
Friday, September 12, 2008, 6-9 pm
Location TBA
$5 suggested donation at the door

Artist Participation:
To register for the tour, you must have a studio in Davidson County and you MUST COMMIT TO WORK IN YOUR STUDIO ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 13, FROM 10AM – 4PM. Participation is FREE for all artists although we ask that artists donate 15% of any sales that result from tour visitors to NAA to help support future tours.

To register for the tour, e-mail the following information BY AUGUST

-Studio address (including zip code)
-Phone number
-E-mail address
-Website URL (if you have one)
-Your discipline (painting, sculpture, ceramics, video, mixed-media,
etc.)
-Your studio location (in your house, garage, building, etc.) -A jpeg of your studio/gallery at 300 dpi (ideally sized at 720 x 480 pixels, for inclusion in publicity slide show). You can also include a JPEG of your work if you’d like.

Artists can also submit up to three digital images (JPEGs at 300dpi) to be considered for the Juried Studio Tour Preview Exhibition. The Jurors will be NAA Founders Adrienne Outlaw and Susan Knowles and NAA Director Jenny Gill.


Studio Tour Tickets:
Encourage your patrons, friends, and neighbors to attend the Studio Tour and Preview Exhibition! Advance tickets will be $10 (sold online or at Preview Exhibition); tickets purchased on the day of the event are $12. Online tickets will be available in late August – we will send a form e-mail to all registered artists that you can use to invite your contacts to attend the tour.

Purchase options:
Starting in late August, Advance Tour Tickets can be purchased online for $10 – we accept all major credit cards. Online purchasers will pick up tickets and maps at the Preview Exhibition or from the Exhibition Location on the morning of the tour. Tickets will also be for sale at the Preview Exhibition for $10 (cash or check only). On the day of the event, tickets will be available from 10am – 2pm for
$12 at the exhibition location. The tour is free for kids and teenagers under 18 years of age and for art students at universities that are institutional members of NAA.

The Preview Exhibition is free for participating artists and their immediate families, although artists who are able to pay the suggested donation are encouraged to do so to help support NAA.
