If you are paid by July 20th you will be included in all marketing.
This includes the Scene Pull out for Tomato Fest, several ads running in the Scene weeks prior to the event, lots of posters and cards to be distributed, of course all the list-servs and all the places that can be thought of promoting the event online.
Also you can share with as many people as you would like!

During the Billups Tomato Art Fair, they will also be hosting the Tomatolympics. There will be a 'Mater Toss for distance, velocity and accuracy...two of which Billups will be stiff competition in!

Children's Tomato Art Show and Competition
Sponsored by YMCA artEMBRACE and Karen Hoff in
collaboration with Plowhaus Artist Cooperative
Here at Tomato headquarters, we believe that there is no such
thing as too many tomatoes! That’s why we are thrilled to inform
you that the children’s tomato art show and competition will be back
again this year! It is always a treat to see what these amazing young
minds will create!
All mediums accepted.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be awarded
in each age group, as well as one overall Best of Show.
Prize baskets are sponsored by CRAFT a creative community.
Competition Age Groups:
5 and under | 6-9 | 10-13 | 14-17
The opening reception for the Children's Tomato Art Show will be Friday, August 8, 6-8 pm in the
YCAP Chapel, 1021 Russell Street @ South 11th.
This reception is open to the public.
Judging of all artwork will take place on Friday evening at the reception. Winners will be announced
at the end of the evening.
The public is also invited to view the children’s art show on Saturday, August 9th from 11:00am – 3:
00pm. Come view the artwork, enjoy some great food, and stay around for Free African Drumming
Lessons and Painting lessons!

CALLING ALL ARTISTS!
Once again, the time has come to pay homage to that fabulous
vegetable/fruit, the TOMATO!
Please Help Us Celebrate the Tomato by saying, “Yes - I want
to make Tomato Art!”
Here is how it works: To be selected as a tomato artist, you must submit 3 examples of your CURRENT work to Art &
Invention Gallery for jurying. These pieces do NOT have to be tomatoes, just work that represents what you are currently doing.
We accept photographs, digital photos through email, a request that we visit your website, or phone calls to make an
appointment to show us your work. Slides are accepted, but not required. We are committed to making the jurying process as
easy and as accessible as possible!
If you are selected as a tomato artist: Each artist can submit up to three pieces of tomato artwork for the show. At least one
of them must be “tomato inspired.” We’ve added provisions for “emerging fruits and vegetables,” so please feel free to create
artwork where some other fruit or vegetable is your inspiration.
Deadline for entries is July 1..
