Art-o-mat

Artists, would you like to sell miniatures of your work in vending machines? Read on.

Founded in 1997, Artists in Cellophane is an arts group that converts retired cigarette machines into functioning Art-o-mat® installations. There are two machines in Tennessee, one at the Tennessee Performing Arts Center (Nashville) and one at Create Here (Chattanooga), plus over 100 around the world.

All Art-o-mat® machines are intended to be a living/breathing part of their arts community while serving as a valid resource for local/regional artists. This is a great opportunity for artists to have their work exposed to a large audience (local, statewide and national).

AIC believes that art should be progressive, yet personal and approachable. What better way to do this, than with a heavy cold steel machine? Hmmm...Wheels Turning?
